Our Entrepreneurs.
The Edén entrepreneurs are creating a new and inclusive reality in Guatemala by developing a model of labor inclusion that prioritizes individual strengths, flexible work hours, and community education. Although most of the team didn't have access to education or therapy growing up, they are now leading the community and demonstrating that they can thrive in their work with confidence, all while shining a light on the topic of disability exclusion and isolation in Guatemala.
Sergio
Sergio is an extremely helpful person. He helps care for his family and his dog, Cinco. Sergio is a natural DJ with great taste in music! He also enjoys engineering. In his spare time, he likes to collect and tinker with scissors and nail clippers.
Dulce
Dulce is an intelligent and ambitious young woman with many goals in her life! She loves to work and study and is always saving up towards a new goal.
Marvin
Marvin is a passionate and hard worker in every area of his life! He is very detail-oriented and charismatic. He loves to dance when he’s not busy with work.
Iris
Iris is a hard-working entrepreneur with an amazing sense of humor. She loves to share and spend time with her community. She also loves animals!
Jorge
Jorge is one of the founders of Eden; he is a natural businessman and entrepreneur. He also loves ‘banda’ music and playing checkers.
Pedro
Pedro is a music fan! He loves 'ranchero' and 'banda' music and loves to dance salsa. He also enjoys playing guitar.
Anahi
Anahi is an incredibly friendly and kind young woman. She loves fashion and art and she always brings good vibes and encouragement to everyone at the Eden workshops.
Adolfo
Adolfo is a dedicated worker with incredible attention to detail. He likes to garden, collect firewood in the forest, and play basketball with kids in his community.
Daniela
Daniela is an aspiring model and a fashion guru! She loves to go thrift shopping, help out with family childcare, and spend time with her friends. In her downtime, she likes to watch TV.
Isaac
Isaac is an artist! He is particularly dedicated to drawing and collecting images of Thomas the Train, but he also likes to sculpt with modeling clay, paint, and use tissue paper for crafts.
Evelyn
Evelyn is an old soul - she loves to play jacks, tidy the house, and watch the Titanic. Her favorite food is pizza!
Pamela
Pamela is an avid soccer fan and purse collector! She is an early riser who loves to support her family by sweeping and mopping before anyone else is awake!
Jose
Jose represents Guatemala by playing marimba, crafting piñatas, painting, and dancing salsa. He also helps his parents make and sell traditional candies!
Annie
Annie is a special-education teacher from Seattle, Washington. She relocated to Guatemala in 2019 and advocates to create equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
Rodolfo
A leather artisan and designer, Rodolfo founded Edén and dedicates himself to labor inclusion and accessibility.
